DIET Delhi Admission 2023: Prospectus, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria

State Council of Educational Research and Training, Delhi will release the official notification for Delhi DIET Admission 2023. The admission will be offered into 2-years diploma course in the field of education. There are 9 government and 26 private DIETs in Delhi that offers this course. Interested candidates who want to apply need to submit an application form in online mode. Aspirants must check the eligibility criteria carefully before applying. Delhi DIET Eligibility Criteria 2023

The eligibility criteria for Delhi DIET 2023 are explained below. It is the duty of candidates to make sure that they meet the following eligibility criteria before filling the application form.

Age Limit

  • The age of a candidate should be less than 24 years as of 30th September 2023.
  • A relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit will be given to the candidates from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories.

Educational Qualification

  • Aspirants seeking admission to D.El.Ed. course must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • At the time of calculating the percentage, marks secured by candidates in the top 5 subjects (i.e. four subjects + one language) including at least one language will be considered.
  • Those aspirants who are looking to opt for Urdu/Punjabi language teaching in respective institutes i.e DIET-Karkardooma for Punjabi (20 seats) and DIET Darya for Urdu (20 seats), must have passed in Urdu/Punjabi as one subject both in Secondary and Senior Secondary Exams. This rule is for government DIET only.

  • The candidate should be in good mental and physical health.

Delhi DIET 2023 Application Form

The application form for DIET Delhi Admission 2023 will release in online mode only. Those candidates who want to apply need to visit the official website in order to access the application form. Complete details related to the application form submission are given below.

  • To start the application process, aspirants have to register on the official website by providing some of their details including name, phone number, email address, etc.
  • At the time of registration, candidates will also be asked to choose a safe password for themselves.
  • After that, candidates are required to sign-in by providing their login credentials.
  • Once logged in, aspirants have to provide all the required necessary educational, contact, and personal details.
  • Aspirants must ensure that they enter all the details correctly. Otherwise, the application form can get rejected.
  • Some of the details to be entered in the application form are as follows – Passing Status, Year of Passing, Board, Roll Number, Name & Address Of Institute, Result Mode, Maximum Marks, Marks Obtained, Percentage and Subject Wise Marks.
  • Candidates are also required to fill the choice of institutes in which they want to study.
  • Along with the details, candidates also need to upload scanned images of their photograph and signature.
  • After submitting the form, aspirants have to pay the necessary application fee.
  • Aspirants must take a printout of the application form submitted and fee receipt for future requirements.

  • The application fee is the same for all candidates i.e. Rs. 250/- (non-refundable)

DIET Delhi Admission 2023 Selection Process

  • Candidates will be selected purely on the basis of qualifying exam i.e 10+2 merit list.
  • Please note that the merit list will be prepared based on marks secured by candidates in the top 5 subjects.
  • In case two or more candidates have equal marks in the 10+2 level exam then the percentage of class 10th marks up to two places of decimal will be considered.
  • If the tie persists then the age of candidates will be considered. Preferences will be given to older candidate.
  • There will not be any entrance exam for the selection of candidates.

Counselling Process 

  • The counselling process will also take place in online mode only.
  • To take part in the counselling process, aspirants have to deposit a counselling fee of Rs. 1000/- in online mode.
  • The allotment of seats will take place on the basis of merit list and choice filled by candidates at the time of filling the application form.
  • For the confirmation of admission, candidates have to get their documents verified and pay the necessary admission fee.

  • Caution Money – Rs. 100/- (at the time of admission – refundable)
  • Pupil Fund – Rs. 150/- per month
  • Maintenance and up gradation Fund – Rs. 50/- per month

Answer: Selected candidates need to get the following documents verified

  • Original certificate of Secondary School Examination (10th Class) or its equivalent examination.
  • Mark sheets of Sr. Secondary School and Secondary School Examination or its equivalent examinations.
  • Certificate of reserved category/sub-category, if applicable from Competent Authority.
  • Candidates seeking admission from NIOS or any other distance mode must furnish certificate specifying that candidate has attended/ studied/ passed Sr. Secondary from the concerned study center along with other documents
  • Medical fitness certificate from a registered MBBS/BAMS doctor.
