Delhi University UG Admission Notification (Entrance Based): Delhi University offers wide ranges of undergraduate programmes for Indian as well as Foreign nationals. There are few courses, where the admission is based on candidates’ overall performance in the entrance test followed by group discussion/interview for shortlisted candidates. Interested candidates need to register themselves for such courses. List of such courses are as follows:

Delhi University hasn’t notified any minimum age bar for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes excluding those courses where age bar has specified by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education), MCI (Medical Council of India), NCTE (National Council of Teacher Education) and DCI (Dental Council of India).

Educational Qualification

Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)/ Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis)/ B.A.(Hons) Business Economics- DU JAT

  • 60% marks should be secured by general category candidates in class 12th in four papers including Mathematics, English and two other subjects.
  • Candidates should have secured pass marks in all these four subjects individually.
  • Candidates those have appeared in improvement in class 12th exam of 2018 are not considered for admission.

B.Tech. Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations (IT&M)

  • Passed or appearing in 10+2 with Mathematics along with obtaining 60% marks in four subjects including Mathematics (54% for OBC/57% for PwD/CW/ Pass marks with Mathematics for SC/ST category candidates).

B.A. (Hons) Humanities and Social Sciences

  • Passed or appearing in 10+2 with obtaining 60% marks in four subjects (54% for OBC/57% for PwD/CW/ Pass marks with Mathematics for SC/ST category candidates).

Bachelors of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

  • Higher secondary of its equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks.

Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education & Sports: B.Sc. (P.E.,H.E. & S.)

  • Candidates who have cleared 10+2 exam from Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent exam with 45% marks in aggregate are eligible.

B.A (H) Multi Media and Mass Communication (MMMC)- Only for Women Aspirants

General category applicants should have secured 75% marks in aggregate along with 85% marks in English.

How to Apply for Delhi University Entrance Exam?

  • Delhi University has specified centralized web portal for the registration process for UG programme.
  • Click the “register here” tab under “New User”.
  • Provide details such as email id, your personal details, mobile number and create a password.
  • Upon completion of this process, a verification mail will be sent to you on your registered email ID; you need to click that link.
  • Now go to the UG admission portal and log in by using the “register email id” and “created password”.
  • Upload necessary images with below-mentioned sizes and formats:

  • Now fill correct postal address.
  • Once you have verified all information furnished by you and uploaded necessary documents, you may proceed to click the “Submit” button.
  • Now applicants need to start filling rest of the information in the registration form.
  • Choose your preferred undergraduate course.
  • Choose the exam city.
  • Provide your educational qualification details.
  • Now save your application and move to fee payment procedure. Candidates can choose any of the payment gateways available for making payment of requisite fee.

Registration Fee

  • For SC/ST/PwD category applicants: Rs. 250/- for each course
  • For all other categories (OBC, Unreserved etc.): Rs. 500/-for each course

Exam Pattern & Selection Procedure

Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)/ Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis)/ B.A.(Hons) Business Economics- DU JAT

Selection Procedure- Weightage of Entrance Exam (85%) & Weightage of GD/Interview (15%)

B.Tech. Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations (IT&M)

  • Exam Type- Written test
  • Exam duration- Two hours
  • Questions are asked from- Mathematics, Reasoning and Analytical Abilities
  • Total number of questions: 100
  • Marking scheme: +4 marks for each correct response and -1 marks for each negative response.

Merit list will be prepared by the university according to candidates’ marks in the entrance test and selection will be based on that only.

B.A. (Hons) Humanities and Social Sciences

  • Exam Type- MCQ type
  • Exam duration- Two hours
  • Questions are asked from- General Awareness, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Communication Skills (English/Hindi), Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning
  • Total number of questions: 100
  • Marking scheme: +4 marks for each correct response and -1 marks for each negative response.

The university will prepare a merit list according to candidates’ performance in written test.

Bachelors of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

Candidates will be called for admission as per the merit list prepared by the university.

Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education & Sports: B.Sc. (P.E.,H.E. & S.)

DU Entrance Exam Admit Card

Admit card can be obtained by candidates from their respective online registration account. Link to download your admit card will be updated here in this article most probably in the month of May . While cming to the examination centre candidates need to bring admit card along with one of their identity proofs.

Result

The result of the entrance test will be made available at the official portal of the Delhi University on or before July 2019. The section will be updated withthe actual link to view your result.

Admission Procedure of Foreign Nationals

Foreign nationals are exempted from registering themselves and appearing in the entrance test. Eligible candidates will be given based on foreign nationals merit list prepared by Delhi University.
