 DU 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates applying for DU Admission 2020 should make sure that they fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria:

For UG Admission

  • The aspirants should have passed class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
  • There are no age criteria except for those specified by the regulatory bodies like MCI, AICTE, BCI, etc for their specific examination.

For PG Admission

  • Those who hold the undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline are eligible to apply for PG admisisons.
  • No age criteria are applicable except for those specified by the regulatory bodies for their specific examination.

DU Application Form 2020

The application for DU Admission 2020 will be released in online mode on the official website. The application form for entrance-based and test-based admissions will be different. In the application form, the candidates will have to enter the information related to their personal details, educational details, choose the course and exam center and upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature and other required documents. The duly-filled application form will be submitted along with the required application fee.

The application fee payment can be done via credit card/ debit card/ net banking. Fee once paid is non-refundable.

For UG Admission (Entrance-based)

  • UR/ OBC/ CW/ Minority candidates: Rs. 500/-
  • SC/ ST/ PwD candidates: Rs. 250/-

For UG Admission (Merit-based)

  • UR/ OBC candidates: Rs. 150/-
  • SC/ ST/ PwD candidates: Rs. 75/-
  • Sports quota candidates: Rs. 100/- (additional)
  • ECA quota candidates: Rs. 100/- (additional)

For PG Admission

  • UR/ OBC candidates: Rs. 500/-
  • SC/ ST/ PwD candidates: Rs. 250/-

DUET 2020 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for undergraduate and postgraduate courses for which entrance test will be conducted are given below:

For UG Admission

  • Mode of exam: Online
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Number of questions: 100
  • Marking scheme: 4 marks will be awarded for the right answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer

For PG Admission

  • Mode of exam: Offline
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Type of questions: Multiple-choice questions (except for certain foreign language courses)

Ans: Please go through the step-by-step admission process:

Step 1: Go to the university portal and create your username and password, fill registration form, select your course of interest and upload the required documents.

Step 2: Finish the registration process simply by paying the registration fee in online mode. Keep the transaction record for future reference.

Step 3: Candidates need to log in to admission portal to select a college and course after the release of cutoff marks based on their eligibility.

Step 4: Candidates need to go to the college for admission along with a printout of application form, supporting original documents along with their photocopies and three recent passport size photographs.

Step 5: Upon producing the originals of certificates, the principal will confirm your admission.

Step 6: Candidates will further receive a link of online portal to pay the fee. Candidates must not make delay in making payment of fee.
