DDA Housing Scheme Eligibility Criteria 2024

  • Applicants must be Indian Citizens.
  • The applicant must have completed the age of 18 years on the last date of submission of the application.
  • A flat will be allotted only to such person who or his wife or her husband or any of his/her dependent relations including unmarried children does not own in full or in part on a freehold or lease hold basis a residential plot having an area exceeding 67 sqm or flat/ built-up house having carpet area exceeding 67 sqm in the urban area of Delhi, New Delhi and Delhi Cantonment.
  • Remember, both Husband and wife can apply for the scheme. However, if both are successful in a draw the flat will be allotted to one of them only.
  • To apply for EWS flats, the individual income of an applicant as well as of a Joint applicant should not be more than Rs. 3 lakh per annum and household income must not exceed Rs. 10 lakh per annum.

Note: There is no income criterion for flats other than EWS.

DDA Housing Scheme 2024 Application Form

To make the DDA Housing Scheme Application Procedure 2024 easier, authorities accept the applications in online mode only. Unlike previous years, authorities will not accept applications in other modes than online. Go through the steps given below to check the complete application process of the DDA Housing Scheme.

  • First of all, you need to visit the official website i.e. www.dda.gov.in/ www.dda.org.in.
  • You will find the registration link on the home page of the official website.
  • Next, you need to create your login credential after entering the following information – Title (Mr., Miss/ Mrs.), First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, PAN Number, Date of birth, Aadhar Number, Gender.
  • Now, you may sign in by entering the credentials generated in the last step. Remember, your PAN number is your user ID for log in.
  • Now the main application form will display on your screen. In this form, you need to enter your address, preference of flat, etc.
  • Apart from the details, you are also required to upload scanned images of all the required documents. The list of documents to be uploaded is given below in the following post.
  • Next, applicants need to pay the application + registration process online.
  • Finally, you should take a printout of the confirmation page for future needs.

 Application Fee or Registration Fee

  • The application fee is similar to all applicants i.e. Rs. 2000/-
  • However, the registration fees are different for various flats as shown in the table below. Please note that registration fees are refundable but the application fee is non-refundable.

Note: The partial application fees i.e. Rs. 1000/- is refundable for reserved category and EWS candidates.  

Refund of Registration money to applicants

  • In case you are unsuccessful in the draw then you will get the admissible refund of registration money in the bank account that you have mentioned on your application form. This is the reason why you should mention your correct bank account number with IFSC code.
  • If you are successful in the draw then you should satisfy yourself with regard to location, cost, existing facilities in the surrounding area and other related issues. Those who are not satisfied with the flat can surrender the same. The charges applicable in such a situation are given below.

Documents Requirements

The DDA Housing Scheme 2024 Document Requirements are as follows.

  • Self-attested copy of PAN Card (Permanent Account Number) issued/allotted by Income Tax Department.
  • Identity Proof e.g. self-attested copy of passport, government Identity Card, Election ID card, Driving License, Ration Card with Photo (of the person whose photo is affixed) or aadhaar Card. (any one)
  • Proof of residence e.g. self-attested copy of passport, government Identity Card, Election ID card, Ration card, Driving License, Telephone Bill, Electricity Bill, Water Bill, House Tax Receipt, Bank Pass Book (page carrying name and address of the allottee) or Aadhaar Card
  • Income proof for EWS Category
  • Caster Certificate  issued by the District Magistrate/ Sub Divisional Magistrate of the area concerned (For SC/ ST Candidates)
  • An attested copy of the original handicapped certificate issued by the Medical Board or a Govt. Hospital (For PwD candidates)
  • An attested copy of Discharge Certificate from the competent authority of Ministry of Defense/ Armed Forces (For Ex-Servicemen)
  • A copy of “Requisite Certificate” issued by the Ministry of Defense/ Armed Forces/ Para Military Forces (For War-widows/ Next of Kin)
  • A Self-attested copy of Bank Account Pass Book/Bank Statement from which the cost of the Flat has been deposited along with payment proof
  • Photograph and three signatures of self and spouse, (if married), duly attested as per the proforma provided on the information brochure of DDA.

Question – 1: I want to apply for an EWS flat in DDA Housing Scheme 2024. My income is less than 3 lakh per annum. However, can you tell me what are the criteria of household income?

Answer: For EWS flats, the income of an applicant should be less than 3 lakh. At the same time, the household income should not exceed 10 lakhs. The clauses of the household incomes are as follows.

  • Applicants aged more than 25 years – The income will be calculated by adding the income of applicant, spouse, unmarried son/s and unmarried/ widowed/ divorcee daughter/s if they are dependent on the applicant.
  • Age group 18 to 25 years (if married) – The income will be calculated by adding the income of applicant & spouse, Income of children and parents will also be included if they are dependent on the applicant
  • Age group 18 to 25 years (if unmarried) – In this case, the household income will include income of applicant along with that of parents if they are dependent on the applicant or vice versa.

Question – 2: What is the reservation policy that DDA follows at the time of flat allotment?

Answer: The DDA follows the reservation policy given below at the time of flat allotment.

  • 15% flats for applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC)
  • 7.5% flats for applicants belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST)
  • 1% for War Widows and those receiving a liberalized pension from Armed/ Paramilitary Services (Next of Kin)
  • 5% reservation for Persons with Disability (Divyangjan) as defined in Secon-37(a) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
  • 1% for Ex-servicemen

Question – 3: How much time will I get to pay the cost flat. If a flat is allotted on my name in the draw?

Answer: You will have to deposit the amount of the flat cost within 90 days from the date of issue of Demand cum Allotment letter.
