DCECE: Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE) also referred as Bihar Polytechnic is a popular examination organized by the BCECEB (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board). DCECE is a state level entrance test conducted for providing admission into polytechnic engineering (PE)/ Para-medical-dental (PMD Matric Level)/ Part-time polytechnic engineering (PPE)/Para Medical (PM Intermediate level) Courses.  It is expected that the DCECE exam will be organized in the month of June and application form for the same will release from April.

DCECE Important dates

Here we are listing all the important dates of DCECE including online application form date, admit card date, exam date, and result announcement dates etc. All the dates mentioned in the below table are tentative and based on last year exam data.

Eligibility criteria DCECE

Below, we have listed the DCECE eligibility criteria in detail:

Nationality/Domicile: Candidate should be Indian and must possess the valid domicile of Bihar or satisfy the other local/ non local requirements.

Educational /age criteria:

PE Must have done 10th from recognized board with no less than 35% marks.
There will be no upper and lower age limit.
PPE Pass in 10th along with 2 years ITI experience.
Minimum age – 19 years as on 1st July.
PMD Should be passed 10th passed/appearing from CBSE/ICSE or equivalent board in subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English.
Age Limit: 15 years (minimum) and 30 years (maximum)
PM Must have done 12th with Chemistry, Physics, English, Maths/Biology subjects. Those who are applying for GNM course must have passed the 12th exam in physics, chemistry and biology subjects with minimum of 40% marks (40% in case of SC/ST category).
Age Limit:  17 years (Minimum age) & 32 years (upper age limit)

DCECE Application form: How to apply?

The application form for DCECE (Bihar Polytechnic) will be available online only from the official website of conducting body. To fill the form, candidates have to first complete the online registration process. Once you completed registration process successfully, a unique registration ID and password will be issued to the candidates for further use. Make the payment of applicable fee through e-challan by cash payment in the Canara bank or through debit card/ net banking/credit card. After the fee payment, candidates will be allowed to fill their personal and qualification details. They have to upload the scanned images of photograph and signature in the specified dimensions.

Candidates have to submit the hardcopy of Part-A and Part-B application form along with paid challan and relevant documents to the below address:

Admit card

The admit card or Hall ticket of DCECE will be issued by the board in most likely in the month of May. Candidates have to bring the admit card while appearing in the exam center. Admit Card is an important document and should be preserved carefully till the admission process gets over.

DCECE Syllabus

The syllabus of DCECE will comprise of the subjects of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Hindi, General Science, General Knowledge, English, & Biology. The syllabus will be based on 10th class standard. All the candidates are advised to check the DCECE syllabus carefully for better preparation and score well in the exam.

Result

Most likely, the DCECE result for all the courses will be announced in the month of July. The marks obtained in Bihar Polytechnic will be considered for assigning rank, based on which candidates will be selected for admission into diploma courses. After the announcement of result, subject-wise merit list will be published.

Counselling

BCECEB will invite the selected candidates for counselling as per their merit rank. Candidates should download their counselling letter from the official website and attend the counselling as per the specified schedule.
