Faculty of Engineering (Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering); Faculty of Commerce & Business Management (Commerce, Mgt.); Faculty of Sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Computer Science & Applications, Mathematics); Faculty of Languages (English); Faculty of Social Sciences (Economics)
Eligibility Criteria for DAV University Ph.D Entrance Test 2021
Interested applicants must have done Masters Degree in the concerned/Allied subject with the minimum of 55% marks (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST Category) at Masters Level or equivalent qualification.
Application Form: How to Apply
The candidates wishing to admit as full-Time Scholar for the Ph.D. Degree will be requested to fill up the PhD Entrance Test application Form 2021 online. The applications form will be obtainable from the official website of DAV University i.e. www.davuniversity.org
Candidates should download and submit the duly filled up application form along with self-attested copies of required certificates/mark sheets, passport size photograph and an applicable demand draft for Rs.1000/- (one thousand) in favour of Registrar, DAV University, payable at Jalandhar. Candidates need to submit the application form before due date at the address mentioned below:

Selection Procedure
The selection will be made through merit of candidates appeared in the entrance test. The final merit will be determined on the basis of following criteria:
- Marks scored in masters/M.Phil program: 30%
- Marks obtained in entrance test: 40%
- Interview performance: 30%
First choice will be given for admission to applicants having JRF/any other fellowship from CSIR/ UGC/other Govt. agencies
Phd Entrance Test for admission
- All the applicants to PhD courses will be enrolled through an entrance test organized twice a year in the months of November and the accurate date/s of the exam will be informed through the official website of DAVU
- Different question papers will be organized for applicants of diverse streams of Business Management / Sciences / Engineering/Commerce and Social Sciences
- The entrance test will comprise of MCQ type questions
- The duration of Phd entrance test will be two hours
- Candidates who obtain minimum of 40% marks will be invited for interview
- The questions for paper will be based on the fundamental and subjective aspects of the related discipline
