DASA PG Application Form 2022-2023 (out): Important Dates, How to Apply

Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) PG application form will be issued by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India. The DASA PG admission scheme was initiated in the year 2008 in order to provide admissions for Foreign National and NRIs to IITs, NITs and other top institutes of India.

The candidates aspiring admission under this scheme have to fill the online DASA PG application form before the last date. In this article, we are describing the complete application process of DASA PG for the aspiring candidates.

How to Apply?

The DASA PG Application form will be released on the official website of the department i.e. http://www.dasanit.org. We will also provide a direct link to the application form on this page as soon as it gets released.

Steps to fill the application form

  • First of all, the applicants will be required to create an account on the official website using their valid email id.
  • A link to the registration form will be mailed to registered email id. After filling the details in the registration form, candidates have to set a password for the future login.
  • Once the account is created, the candidates have to log in using the email id and password.
  • Enter all the necessary personal, educational and contact details in the application form after login.
  • The scanned copies of latest passport size photograph, signature, and relevant documents also needs to be uploaded by the candidate in a format given below:

  • Check the preview of the duly filled application form and edit in case of any incorrect or incomplete application
  • Submit the application form if the entered details are correct.
  • Download and take a print out of the submitted application form for future reference.
  • There will no need to send the printout of the application form to the DASA office.

Note: Applicants please note that the submitted application will not be modified as the authorities will not provide any correction window.

List of documents to be uploaded with DASA PG Application Form 2023

  • Passport of Applicant (Nepali Candidates who do not have a passport can upload the copy of Authenticated Citizenship Card.
  • Proof of Date of Birth.
  • Grade card or Marks sheets of qualifying exam (all semesters)
  • Degree or provisional certificate of the qualifying exam.
  • Course completion certificate issued by the institute (for result awaiting candidates)
  • Proof of Residential eligibilities (proof of having NRI status for last three etc.)
  • Details of fee payment (in case of Swift transfer)

DASA PG Application Fee

The DASA PG application fee and tuition fee for the first semester are as follows:

Candidates have to pay the total fees i.e. Registration fee as well as the Tuition fee for first semester along with the application form.

Note: The registration fee will not be refunded in any case; candidates are advised to see the eligibility criteria before submitting an online application form.

Mode of Payment

  • The candidates will be able to pay the DASA PG application fee either by the SWIFT Transfer or by E-payment.
  • In order to pay the fee through swift transfer, an applicant has to pay the amount to VIJAYA BANK, MNNIT ALLAHABAD. However, details such as account number, IFSC Code are still awaited and will be declared later.
  • The applicants from Nepal and Bhutan will be given the options to pay the application fee in Indian rupees as well. Rest of the candidates has to pay the application fee only in US dollars.

Residential Requirement for DASA PG

The DASA scheme will be applicable for the following candidates only.

  • Foreign Nationals, OCIs, PIOs having completed their undergraduate studies in any country.
  • Indian nationals having completed the UG education from outside of India.
  • Indian National having NRI status from last three years.
  • Indians who have completed UG education in any of the CFTIs under the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme.
  • Indian students who have studied in India but completed class 11th and 12th (or equivalent) from outside of India.
