CSSET 2021: Application Form(Out), Eligibility, Respective Dates

The Combined Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test (CSSET) 2021 will be held on 1st August 2021  to select the candidates for admissions into B.Ed degree programmes. The admissions will be granted to the selected candidates into three Sanskrit universities- Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi, and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, New Delhi. The interested candidates can submit their application from from 8th May 2021 in online mode. All the important details related to CSSET 2021, such as important dates, exam pattern, eligibility criteria, admit card, etc is provided in this article.

Application Form

CSSET 2021 application form will be released online from the website of the participating institute. The candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can submit their application on or before the last date.

  • In the application form, the candidates will have to provide their personal and educational details.
  • The candidates will also have to upload their photograph and signature in a scanned format into the form.
  • The candidates will also have to mention their choice for admissions into Sansthan Campuses or Vidyapeethas in order of preference.
  • After providing all the details correctly into the form, the candidates can submit it online.
  • The candidates should keep a hard copy of the application form along with them in case of future reference.
  • There is no need to send the hard copy of the application form to the office of the institute.

Eligibility Criteria for CSSET 2021

The below-mentioned CSSET eligibility criteria 2021 must be fulfilled by the aspiring candidates:

  • The candidates must have attained a minimum age of 20 years on or before 1st October 2021. No relaxation in the age limit will be permitted.
  • The candidates with the degree of Shastri or have done BA with Sanskrit under the 10+2+3 pattern and/ or MA in Sanskrit or Acharya or equivalent traditional degree from any recognized institute/ university are eligible. The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in their qualifying exam.
  • Those applicants who have passed their Shastri/ BA (with Sanskrit) two-year course from any recognized institute/ university with at least 50% marks in the aggregate and/ or have passed Acharya 1st year/ MA in Sanskrit 1st year/ Setu (Bridge course)/ Vidwanmadhyama/ Vidwaduttama examination are also eligible.
  • For the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD categories, a relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks will be given, i.e., such candidates need to score 45% marks in the qualifying exam.

Exam Pattern

Below given is the exam pattern for the CSSET 2021:

  • Mode of exam: Offline mode (OMR sheet)
  • Duration of the exam: 2 hours 30 minutes (extra 10 minutes will be provided for OMR collection)
  • Total marks: 200 (160 marks for part A + 40 marks for part B)
  • Type of questions: Both objective (part A) and subjective (part B)

Note: A pass in both the parts separately is mandatory to be considered for admissions.

CSSET 2021 Admit Card

  • The admit card to appear for the CSSET exam 2021 will be made available on the official website.
  • The candidates should take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam center along with a valid identity proof.
  • The admit card will contain the details of the center where the candidates will have to appear for the exam.
  • The candidates without a valid admit card will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

Result

  • The result of CSSET 2021 will be declared online on the official website of the organizing university.
  • The candidates will be able to check the result using their roll number.
  • Merit list of the successful candidates will be drawn by the concerned authorities.
  • Separate merit list will be prepared at all India level & university level for admission into each university.

Selection Process

  • The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the merit list prepared.
  • The selection will depend on the rank of the candidates and the choice made by them at the time of application form.
  • The eligibility and documents of the candidates will be verified at the time of counseling.
  • The candidates will be allotted a seat according to the choices, rank, and eligibility.
  • The candidates must report to the allotted institute within the given time limit to complete the admission formalities.
