Common Counselling for JoSAA 2015 to Begin Soon

JoSAA to undertake choice filling in order to allot seats to students to various reputed institutes of India namely, Indian Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Information Technology, National Institute of Technology, ISM and GFT. Admission to all the academic programs in the above institutes will be made via single platform from current year.

Previously, IIT JAB and CSAB were executed but from 2015 a joint counseling session will be arranged for coming academic session of 2015-2016. The body of counseling is managed by JoSAA. Seat allotment for students will be cancelled in case they have submitted the seat acceptance fee during JoSAA and reported at anyone of the reporting centers of NIT system but could not report in any respective participating institutes as they will be treated as rejected the offer. These candidates may seek refund of seat acceptance fee after deduction of amount 1,000 via CSAB portal.

As of now there are more than 440 candidates who have filled in wrong details of the bank as in IFSC code, account number and others. CSAB has already asked these students to re-fill the correct information.

Students who have cancelled their admission after taking admission at Nit’s, IIT’s and GFTI’s can avail refund from the institute as per the norms of each institute. Candidates will be allotted seats in different colleges on the basis of choice or merit.
