About Nirma University, Ahmedabad
Established in 2003 by the state government, Nirma University (NU) is a private university situated in Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat, India. The university is operating under the aegis of the Nirma Education and Research Foundation and is recognized by the University Grant Commission. It is considered as one of the most prominent universities of Gujarat. NU was certified with “A” by NAAC in the year 2015.
Campus
The Nirma University campus is located on the Sarkhej – Gandhi Nagar, in Chharodi Village in Ahmadabad, Gujarat. The college campus is spread over 110 acres of land. The campus of Nirma University is just 15 km from the Ahmadabad City and easily accessible to the major cities by rail, roads, and air.
Courses
The NU campus is offering approx 50 academic courses including undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctoral degree programmes through its six educational departments in different fields of allied and professional education. The university also offers executive diploma, postgraduate and PhD courses in the management field.
Facilities at Nirma University, Ahmedabad
The university has six colleges well equipped with all required amenities. The NU campus has well stocked libraries separately for each institution, workshops, separate laboratories and computer centre for each one, seminar hall, auditorium, gymnasium, separate hostel facility for both boys and girls, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, health care clinic, banking & ATM, canteen, cafeteria and spacious and ventilated lecture halls. Besides this, the college also organizes inter-school competition, conferences, co-curricular activities, educational tours, cultural activities and extracurricular activities for students.
Placement
The NU Campus has an active training and placement cell which gives the appropriate trainings and internship to the students and also provides the industrial exposure, campus recruitment, industrial visits and job placement to the students.
