About National Power Training Institute
Established in the year 1968, National Power Training Institute NPTI (Eastern Region) is one of the 9 regional institutions of NPTI located in Durgapur. The institute was founded by the Government of India under the Ministry of Power, to work as the National leading institute for Human Resources Development of Indian Power Sector. The National Power Training Institute is an autonomous body under Ministry of Power, Government of India and an ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 organization.

Courses
The National Power Training Institute (NPTI) Durgapur offers various industry related academic programs in the field of engineering and management. In UG level the institute offers a 4- year engineering program in disciplines like Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
