About Jiwaji University, Gwalior
Established in the year 1964, Jiwaji University (JU) is a well known public affiliating university based in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. The university is recognized by the government of India and affiliates more than 300 colleges. Jiwaji University is renowned for imparting education in the field of law, management and many more. The name of university derives from George Jivajirao Scindia of Gwalior. The earlier president Sarvapelli Radhakrishnan laid the foundation stone of the campus on December 11, 1964.
Campus
The campus of JU is situated at Mahalgaon in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh. The college campus is sprawled over 225 acres of land. JU has a good state of infrastructure with having academic block, auditorium, residential block and all basis facilities. The University campus offers all major amenities to the staff and students.
Courses
The university offers various UG and PG courses under different departments such as law, Management, MA, M.Com, BA, M.Sc, M. P. Ed., M.Com, M.Phil etc.
Facilities at Jiwaji University
JU, Gwalior has good excellent infrastructure comprising of all major facilities including well equipped labs and workshops, spacious and ventilated classrooms, lecture halls, auditorium, big seminar halls, central library with huge collection of books and journals, and many magazines and newspapers, computer center with internet connectivity, separate hostel facility for boys and girls. In addition university organizes various cultural, social, technical and sports events for the well fare of students.

Jiwaji University, Gwalior has an active training and placement cell headed by experienced and well qualified counseling staff, which helps the students in their career and job related activities. The cell organizes lots of training and recruitment programs for the graduating students.
