Established in the year 2001, Heritage Institute of Technology commonly known as HITK or HIT, is a premier private autonomous engineering college in Anandapur, Kolkata, nearby the East Kolkata Township, West Bengal, India. The institute is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. HIT Kolkata is ranked among the top five engineering colleges in West Bengal.

The HIT campus is sited on Chowbaga Road, behind the landmark of Ruby General Hospital. Located at Anandapur in the south-eastern part of Kolkata, the campus is just 10-minute drive away from East Metropolitan Bypass.
