About Government Engineering College, Raipur

Established in the year 1956, Government Engineering College (GEC), Raipur is one of the most popular and oldest institutions of Chhattisgarh state.  The institute is affiliated to the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University and approved by the AICTE. GEC is a complete government engineering college.

Campus

The campus of Government engineering college, Raipur is sprawled over the plain in Sejbahar on Old Dhamtari Road in Raipur, the district of Chhattisgarh state. The college is located at outer of the hurly-burly environment in the Raipur city. The total developed area of the institute is according to the AICTE norms.

Courses

The college is offering five disciplines of the engineering and technology in undergraduate programme. The total intake capacity under these engineering streams is about 300 seats.

A large number of students have been placed in different campus interviews conducted by multi-national companies like Sintel and Satyam Computers etc.
