About Cochin University of Science and Technology Ernakulam
Founded in the year 1971 by the state government of Kerala, Cochin University of Science and Technology is a government University located in Cochin, Kerala. The university offers degrees in engineering and science subjects at the UG, PG and doctoral levels. It is the first university of India commenced the Information technology in B.Tech programmes. Admissions are made on the basis of All India Entrance Examination also known as the Common Admission Test (CAT) organized by the university which includes entrance tests for admission to UG and PG courses. Departmental Admission Tests (DAT) is also organized for some PG courses.
