About Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU)
Having seen its establishment in the year 1970, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University has grown as one of Asia’s largest agriculture Universities. Largely known as Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), the University is public funded agriculture organization situated at Hisar in the Indian state of Haryana. CCSHAU is named after India’s 7th Prime Minister, Choudhary Charan Singh. The Univeristy was awarded with Indian Council of Agricultural Research’s honor for the best institute in 1997. Previously it was a campus of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana but after the formation of Haryana in the year 1966, it became a self-governing institution through a presidential law, later recognized as Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act, 1970, approved by the Lok Sabha.
CCSHAU is a leader in agricultural research in India and participated extensively to green revolution and white revolution in India in the year 1960s and 70s.

The Universty campus is located at a distance of 162 KM north-west of Delhi on NH- No.10 at Hisar and is spread across an area of 7219 acres at Hisar and about 1426 acres at outstations.

- Arts Program
Ph.D. in Sociology – three years
Applicant must be Post Graduate degree holder in an appropriate course or an equivalent qualification with at least of 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities integrated by an act of the central or state government in India. There is 5% relaxation for reserved category.

- Master of Business Administration – two years
- Master of Business Administration in Agri-Business – two years
Applicant must have done Bachelors Degree Examination of minimum 3 years duration with at least of 50% marks (45% for candidates from SC/ST categories) in the qualifying examination

Bachelor of Technology in Agricultural Engineering- four years
Applicant must be passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Biology/Math, Chemistry, or Agriculture stream from a recognized University or Board with minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserved category candidates)
M.Tech degree (3 courses)
- Master of Technology in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering – two years

Applicant must have passed bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering stream attained through the 10+2+4 system or an equivalent qualification with at least of 55% aggregate marks (45% marks for candidate belonging to reserved categories) in the qualifying examination and have done B.E/ B. Tech in the Agriculture Engineering.
