Common Entrance Exam for Design 2021 or CEED 2021 is a common entrance test to be conducted by IIT Bombay. The primary objective of this exam is to select the candidates for admission to M.Des and Ph.D. courses. The selected candidates will get the admissions in renowned institutes like IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IITDM Jabalpur etc. Please note that clearing CEED doesn’t guarantee admission. The institute may conduct further rounds for granting admission such as interview etc.
It is being notified that the application form for CEED 2021 exam has been released on 9th September 2020. The candidates have to fill and submit the application form only in online mode. This exam consists of two parts i.e. Part A and Part B. Part A will consist of objective type MCQs while Part B will be drawing and communication skills test.
CEED 2021 answer key has been released now.
CEED 2021 admit card is available from 1st Jan 2021.

CEED 2021 Important Highlights
The important Highlights of CEED 2021 exams are as follows:
- CEED exam includes two parts i.e. Part – A and Part – B. Part A is a computer-based test having objective type questions. In part B, the candidates will be required to write the answer on a sheet.
- The final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks scored in Part A and 75% weightage to the marks scored in Part B.
- It is a national level exam expected to be conducted in 24 cities across India.
- While registering online, the candidates have to give a choice of three cities for the exam center.
- There is no age limit in order to apply of CEED exam. In addition to this, a candidate can apply any number of times.

CEED 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should check the eligibility criteria given below before submitting the application form.
- The applicant should have completed a degree/ diploma/ PG degree programme of at least 3-year duration after completing 10+2 level exam.
- The candidates having passed the GD Arts diploma programme in 10+5 pattern are also eligible.
- Please note that the candidate must pass the qualifying exam before July 2020.
- There is no age limit for CEED and candidates can apply any number of times.

CEED 2021 Application Form
- The application form of CEED 2021 will be released online through the official website i.e. www.ceed.iitb.ac.in.
- The candidates will be required to provide all the necessary academic, personal and contact details in the application form.
- While filling the application form, the candidates also need to fill the choices of exam center very carefully.
- In addition to the details, the candidates also need to upload the scanned images of the following documents.
- Colored passport size image of the candidate
- Scanned images of the signature of the candidate
- Scanned images of the degree/ diploma certificate (if completed)
- A certificate issued by the principal of college/ HOD in case the course is not completed.
- SC/ ST/ OBC – NCL certificate (if applicable)
- PWD certificate (if applicable)
- After submitting the application form, the candidates should move on to pay the application fee.
Application Fee
The application fee for different candidates will be as follows:
- All women candidates: Rs. 1300/-
- SC/ ST/ PWD candidates: Rs. 1300/-
- For all other candidates: Rs. 2600/-
Mode of Payment: The application fee will be paid using a credit card, debit card or net banking.

CEED 2021 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for CEED 2021 exam will be as follows:
- The exam is divided into two parts i.e. Part A and Part B.
- The duration of exam will be 3 hours (1 hour – Part A and 2 hour – Part B)
- In part A, the questions will be answered on a computer while in Part B the questions will display on a computer and the candidates have to write their answers on a sheet.
- Only objective type multiple choice question will be asked in part A.
- There will be 45 questions in Part A carrying 100 marks
- The candidates have to answer only 4 questions in part B collectively carrying 100 marks.

Part A: Visualization and spatial ability, Environmental and social awareness, Analytical and logical reasoning, Language and creativity, Design thinking and problem solving, Observation and design sensitivity
Part B: Drawing, Creativity, Communication skills, Analytical and problem-solving skills.
CEED Admit Card 2021
- The admit card of CEED 2021 exam will be released in online mode through the official website.
- All the important information regarding the exam such as exam date, time and venue will be mentioned on the Admit card.
- The candidates have to take a clear printout of the admit card.
- Please note that no candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without a valid admit card.
- Also make sure to carry your own sketch pen, pencils, poster colors and drawing material at the exam center.

CEED 2021 Result
- The result of exam will be released in online mode through the official website.
- It is expected that the result will be declared in the month of March 2021
- All the candidates have to download their scorecard from the website by entering their required credentials.
- The scorecard of CEED 2021 will remain valid for 1 year after the declaration of result.
- The authorities will not send the hard copy of the scorecard to the selected candidates.
