CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2023: Culture and education are interdependent. The cultural patterns of a society guide its educational patterns. CBSE Heritage India Quiz is conducted every year to raise the awareness about the preserving human heritage, diversity and vulnerability of the India’s built monuments and heritage sites. It is an attempt of the Board to motivate the future generations of this country towards efforts required to protect and conserve our vast cultural heritage.

Basic Information of CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2023

• Theme of the quiz: Our Water Heritage
• Phase 1 Online Test: October 2023
• Phase 2 National Semi Finals and Final: November 2023

Note: The present session of Heritage India Quiz would include 25% questions on the Life & Political journey of Mahatma Gandhi.

CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2023 Phase 1: Online Test

1. The date of Online Test will be announced through Notification on the academic website of the Board.The link of the online test will be send only to registered participants on their registered e-mail ID with the Board.
2. The quiz competition will be conducted in October, 2023. It will be of 50 minutes duration comprising 60 Multiple Choice questions. Each school will be represented by a team of three students who may be selected from classes IX-XII
3. Online test: On the announced date, an online window will be opened by all the registered schools,as per the link and details received through registered mail ID with the Board. Each school has to attend the test in their respective IT labs in their own school. On completion of test the team will get the feedback w.r.t. how many correct answers, wrong answers marked and timetaken by them during the quiz.
4. Region wise merit list will be prepared which will be based upon the performance (speed and accuracy) in the online test. The top most teamfrom every region(16 Regions of CBSE)will qualify for participation in semi-finals.

CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2023 Phase 2: National Semi Finals and Final

1. To be held tentatively in the last week of November 2023. The top 16 teams from the 16competingregions will be divided into 04groups of 04 teams each. The winner from each group will qualify for the final. The National Semi Finals and the Final will be held in Delhi and will be telecasted
2. The date of the National Semi Finals and Final will be put under the notifications on the CBSE website so that the teams can make necessary arrangements for their travel, lodging and boarding.

CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2023 – Guidelines for participation

• All the schools interested to participate in this quiz, must ensure arrangement of seamless Broadband internet connectivity in their computer lab on the day of online test. It is advised to keep one more set of personal computer ready with UPS and internet connectivity for emergency technical lapses.
• All the schools affiliated to CBSE in India and foreign countries are invited to participate in quiz.
• Interested schools should submit the registration form and confirm their participation on or before September, 2023, by filling in the online registration form available at www.cbse.nic.in & www.cbseacademic.nic.in by entering their LOC credential. The registration fees of 900/-per team must be paid through credit/debit/net banking through payment gateway.
• Note: After registration and successful payment, take the print out of confirmation page for future reference. Details once entered cannot be altered after the online submission of the form.
• The last date for online registration is September, 2023. The schools are advised to register at the earliest possible date to avoid last minute delay.
• Participation is open to the students of classes IX-XII. All the Interested schools are requested to select three students who will register as a team, to compete in the Online Test. Each school can only register one team.
• Second AC rail fare for the shortest route, including reservation charges for three students and one teacher escort, will be reimbursed to the teams who qualify to compete in the National semi-finals (against photo copies of tickets).
