University of Calcutta Admission Eligibility Criteria 2021

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility conditions mentioned below can apply for the University of Calcutta Admission 2021:

For undergraduate courses:

  • BA: The candidates should have cleared their class 12th exam to apply for BA courses.
  • B.Sc (Hons): Applicants need to pass their class 12th exam preferably with Science stream.
  • B.Com: Those who have cleared their class 12th exam are eligible for admission to the B.Com degree program.
  • B.Lib.I.Sc: A pass in class 12th exam is required to be eligible for B.Lib.I.Sc course.
  • BA LLB: The applicants should pass their class 12th exam with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).
  • B.Ed: Candidates with any graduation degree scoring not less than 50% marks are eligible.

For postgraduate courses:

  • M.Sc:  Those with a B.Sc degree in the related discipline are eligible for M.Sc course.
  • MA: A BA degree in the relevant specialization is required for admission to MA courses.
  • M.Tech: Candidates should hold a degree of BE/ B.Tech in the relevant field in order to be eligible.
  • MBA: A graduation degree in any stream is required along with a valid score in CAT/ XAT/ MAT or equivalent.
  • M.Com: Applicants who hold a B.Com degree can apply for enrolment to M.Com degree course.
  • M.Ed: A degree of B.Ed from any recognized university is required for M.Ed program.
  • M.Lib.I.Sc:
  • LLM: The candidates who have an LLB degree are eligible for admission to LLM course.

University of Calcutta Admission 2021 Application Form

The interested and eligible candidates can submit the application form for the University of Calcutta Admission 2021 through online mode. The application form will be made available on the official website of the university www.caluniv.ac.in. For certain courses, the application form may be released offline as well.

  • Basic personal details of the candidates such as name, gender, category, date of birth, etc will be asked in the application form.
  • Details related to the qualifying exam such as passing year, mark obtained will also be asked.
  • The candidates will also have to provide their photograph and signature into the application form.

If I do not want to take admission any more can I withdraw my application?
