Bihar Polytechnic Counselling: Choice Filling, Counselling Schedule

The candidates who clear their Bihar polytechnic entrance exam 2023 successfully will be invited to participate in the counseling process. Bihar Polytechnic Counselling will start tentatively in the month of July 2021 and will be done online. Depending on the number of candidates and availability of vacant seats, upto 3 rounds of counseling can be conducted. The information regarding seat matrix, information brochure, business rule, counselling schedule, etc will be posted on the official website. After the process of Bihar Polytechnic Counselling is over and the candidates are allotted a seat, they will have to visit the reporting centre for document verification.

Detailed Process of Bihar Polytechnic Counselling

Step 1: Registration

The candidates will first have to register themselves by visiting the official website bceceadmissions.nic.in. The candidate should provide all the important details asked in the registration form very carefully as no provision for editing the data will be given afterwards. After successful registration, the will get all information by SMS and password, required for locking the choices.

Step 2: Filling of choices

The candidates will then have to provide the choice for colleges and courses in the order of preference. The candidates are also advised to provide as many choices as possible so as to avoid any kind of disappointment. The candidates must save their choices before exiting form the page. While filling the choices, the candidates can swap their choices as many times as they want.

Step 3: Locking of choices

The exercising the choices, the candidates will have to lock them using the password created at the time of registration. You can also unlock the choices if you want to add/ delete the previous choices suing the password. If the candidates do not lock their choice manually, the choices will be locked automatically on the last day. A print out of the locked choices should be taken out after final locking.

Step 4: Seat allotment

On the basis of the choices provided by the candidates, their ranking and availability of seats, the seat will be allotted. The candidates will be able to check the allotment result from the official website and can also download their allotment letter. The candidates who are not allotted a seat in the first round will have to wait for the subsequent rounds.

Step 5: Reporting at the reporting center

After the allotment of seat, the candidate will have to report to the reporting center along with the demand draft or cash of Rs. 1000/- and all the important documents for verification. Those who fail to do so within the specified schedule will forfeit their seat. After successful verification of the certificates, the candidates will be provided final admission.

Important Documents required for verification

The candidates must carry the following documents along with them for verification purpose:

  • Application form (both part A & part B)
  • Admit card
  • Rank card
  • 3 copies of allotment letter
  • 6 copies of passport size photograph (as uploaded in the application form)
  • 10th board/ matric/ equivalent certificate and admit card as proof of age & identity
  • School leaving certificate
  • Aadhaar card
  • Residential certificate for native of Bihar
  • Caste Certificate
  • Character Certificate issued by head of institute last attended
  • Income certificate
  • Refugee registration certificate
  • Certificate showing that the applicant’s parent is an employee of the Govt. of Bihar or Govt. of India and posted in Bihar or employee of the United Nations organization posted in Bihar, issued by concerned employer
  • Certificate from the candidates who have not studied in Bihar but their parents are permanent (10 years or more in continuity) residents of Bihar, issued by the institute from where he/ she has passed the qualifying examination indicating the permanent address recorded in their admission register
  • Certificate from service men’s quota (SMQ)
  • Certificate for Disable Quota (DQ)
