Admission to the different polytechnic and para medical courses offered by the government and private colleges of Bihar is granted on the basis of an entrance exam. The last date to submit Bihar Polytechnic application form is 22nd May 2023 The form will be made available only through online mode. Candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility can submit their applications. It is notified that the entrance test will be conducted 24th and 25th June 2023. Bihar Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2023

For different courses for which Bihar Polytechnic exam will be conducted, the eligibility criteria are described below:

1. Polytechnic Engineering (PE)

Duration: 3 years

Educational qualification: Candidates who have cleared their class 10^th exam as conducted by Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent are eligible. Those appearing for the exam in 2023 are eligible too.

Domicile:

Physical fitness: A physical fitness exam will be conducted and only those clearing the test will be considered for admission.

Age limit: There is no upper or lower age limit for applying to Polytechnic Engineering course.

2. Part-time Polytechnic Engineering (PPE)

Duration: 4 years

Educational qualification: A pass in class 10^th or equivalent exam with 2-years ITI is required. Candidate with relevant 2-year experience in a related company/ organization/ industry in place of ITI after 10^th can apply too.

Domicile: Same as above.

Physical fitness: A physical fitness exam will be conducted and only those clearing the test will be considered for admission.

Age limit: As on 1^st July 2023, the minimum age of the candidates should be 19 years.

3. Para Medical (Matric Level) (PMM)

Course: Dresser

Educational qualification: Those who have cleared their class 10^th or equivalent exam with Science and English as subjects can apply. Those appearing for the exam in 2023 are eligible too.

Domicile: Same as above.

Physical fitness: Same as above.

Age limit: The minimum and maximum age of candidates should be 15 and 30 years respectively as 31 December 2023.

4. Para Medical (Intermediate Level) (PM)

Courses: Diploma in Pharmacy, Sanitary Inspector, Ophthalmic Assistant, OT Assistant, Laboratory Technician, X-Ray Technician, Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistant, Staff A Nursing Course (only women), ANM Nursing Course (only women), Dental Mechanics, Dental Hygienist

Educational qualification:

• For Diploma in Pharmacy, Intermediate exam with Science or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology is required.
• For GNM course, the candidates should have cleared intermediate or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology scoring minimum of 40% marks (35% marks for SC/ ST candidates). A pass in English subject is also required. Those with vocational nursing degree from a recognized institute or ANM course with 40% marks (35% marks for SC/ ST candidates) are eligible too.
• For ANM course, a pass in class 12^th exam with at least 40% marks and passing marks in English is required.
• For rest other courses, applicants who have passed their Intermediate exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English are eligible.

Physical fitness: Same as above.

Age limit: The minimum and maximum age of candidates should be 17 and 32 years respectively as 31 December 2023.

Others: For Staff Grade A Nursing course, pregnant women can take admission but their training can only commence after the pregnancy is over and they are completely healthy.

Bihar Polytechnic 2023 Application Form

• Application form for Bihar Polytechnic 2023 is available online on the official website of BCECE bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.
• Candidates first need to fill a registration form by providing basic details like name, email address, mobile number and password.
• Registered email id and mobile number will be verified using a verification code. After successful registration, candidates can log in to their account using registered email id and password created during registration.
• After logging in, the candidates will have to provide their rest personal, academic and other details.
• Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph and signature should also be uploaded into the application form.
• An application preview will appear on the screen. The candidates should check all the details and make any changes if required.
• Duly filled application form can then be submitted online along with the required application fee.
• After submission, the candidates should take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for further reference.

Application fee:

• Application fee payment can be done through offline mode by NEFT Challan option or by online mode using credit card/ debit card or net banking.
• The application fee for general/ OBC candidates is Rs. 750/- and for SC/ ST/ DQ candidates is Rs. 480/-.

Bihar Polytechnic 2023 Admit Card

• The admit card for appearing in the entrance test will be released online on the official website of BCECE board.
• On the admit card, the details related to the candidates like name, roll number and to the exam such as center, schedule, etc will be printed.
• Candidates need to download their admit card and carry its printout to the exam center on the exam day.
• Any incorrect detail in the admit card should be corrected by the applicants at least 5 days before the exam at BCECE board office.
• The candidates should keep their admit card safe till the complete process of admission is over.
