If you are appearing for PET exam conducted by Banaras Hindu University then you must have information related to its exam pattern as it will help you during preparation. There are a majority of courses involved under PET, therefore, we are specifying here course wise exam pattern so that it’d not create any sort of hassle for students.

  • There will be a separate test for every individual course, however, there is a list of certain courses for which a common test is conducted.
  • Common Test I involves courses: M.Sc.(Geology) (in General Course section)and M.Sc. in Petroleum Geosciences (in Special Courses of Study section)
  • Common Test II involves courses: MBA in Foreign Trade (in Special Courses of Study section)/ MBA in Financial Management(in Special Courses of Study section)/MBA in Financial Management (Risk And Insurance) (in Special Courses of Study section)
  • List of courses for which common exam is conducted; admission will be on the basis of merit only.

Exam Pattern For Acharya

  • There will be one paper which contains 150 MCQ type questions of 450 marks from the concerned subject.
  • Candidates will get 120 minutes to solve the paper.

M.A. in Mass Communication

BHU M.A. Mass Communication Exam Pattern

  • The total number of questions will be 150 MCQ type questions consisting 450 marks. Questions will be taken from Language Proficiency along with Proficiency in the English Language; Current Affairs and General Knowledge; Logical Quantitative and Analytical Abilities and Aptitude section.
  • Exam duration will be for 150 minutes.

 

M.Lib.I.Sc. (Master of Library & Information Science)

  • The total number of question asked in the exam is 150 consisting 450 marks. All questions will be MCQ type questions. Questions are involved from General Awareness, Aptitude, Analytical, Quantitative and Verbal Abilities.
  • Exam duration will be for 120 minutes.

  • The total number of questions will be 100 consisting 300 marks. Questions will be based on AIHC & Arch. (Ancient Indian History, Archaeology, and Culture), History, History of Art, Sanskrit and other related subjects
  • Candidates will get 90 minutes of time to solve the paper.

M. A. Prayojanmoolak Hindi (Patrakarita)

  • There will be 150 multiple choice questions consisting 450 marks. Questions will be from Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge and currents Affairs, Hindi in Constitution, Language Proficiency and Hindi grammar basics, Devnagari Script and Standardization of Hindi Language, technical hindi words mostly used in English, media etc.
  • Candidates will get 150 minutes to solve the paper.

  • Total marks of the paper will be 300 and candidates will get 120 minutes to solve the paper.

  • There will be 100 multiple choice questions consisting 300 marks. Questions will be based on Public Administration, general knowledge, Public and Private Administration, Ecology of Public Administration, New Public Administration, Bases and Theories of Organization, Bureaucracy, Management, Budget, Delegated Legislation, Planning and various modes of Control over Administration.
  • Candidates will get 120 minutes to solve the paper.

M. Sc. in Health Statistics

  • Total number of questions will be 150 consisting 450 marks.
  • 150 minutes will be given to candidates to solve the paper.
  • Out of 150 questions, 25 questions will be from statistical techniques application in life sciences and rest 125 will be based on Statistics taught of under graduate level.

M. Sc. in Bioinformatics

  • There will be 150 multiple choice questions consisting 450 marks.
  • Exam duration will be 150 minutes.
  • There will be two sections in the paper, section A and section B respectively. Section A will contain questions from Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics of 90 marks whereas, section B will have questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology of 360 marks.

  • Questions will be based on Jurisprudence, Law of Contracts, Constitutional Law, Law of Torts, Environmental Law, Law of Crimes, Public International Law, Indian Hindu Law, Evidence Act and Muslim Law.

M. F. A.

BHU M. F. A. Exam Pattern

  • There will be 50 multiple choice questions carrying 150 marks. Candidates will have 60 minutes to solve this paper.
  • Questions in the written test will be based on Art History and Material.
  • There will be an additional practical test consisting 150 marks and candidates will be given 120 minutes in order to solve the paper. Candidates will be given practical exam topic at the time o practical exam.
  • Merit list will be prepared based on overall performance of candidates in the theory and practical.

MPA in Musicology

BHU MPA in Musicology Exam Pattern

  • There will be one theory paper and one practical examination.
  • Talking about the theory exam pattern, there will be 150 multiple choice questions consisting 450 marks and candidates will get 120 minutes in order to solve the paper.
  • Questions in the theory paper will be based on various concepts of raga, musical scale, tala, musical forms, history and theory of music, musical instrument, philosophic musical concepts, psychological aspects in music, aesthetics.
  • Practical exam will be of 450 marks and 45 minutes duration.

M. Ed.

BHU M. Ed. Exam Pattern

  • There will be 150 multiple-choice questions of 450 marks. Candidates will get 120 marks to solve the paper. All questions will be based on B.Ed or its equivalent course.
  • Two sets of multiple choice questions on language comprehension will be also included in the paper. Candidates are required to attempt either Hindi language set of English language set.

M. Ed. Special Education (VI) (Under Special Courses of Study)

  • The total number of questions involved in the paper will be 150 carrying 450 marks.
  • Candidates will be given 120 minutes to solve the paper.
