BHU Admission 2019: Banaras Hindu University

The Banaras Hindu University will be offering admissions to the candidates in various UG and PG courses on the basis of entrance test. All the eligible and interested candidates can apply for the BHU Admission 2019. The university will conduct UET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) for UG admissions and PET (Postgraduate Entrance Test) for PG admissions. The university has created an Entrance Test Portal from where the candidates can fill their application form, download their admit card, check their result and perform many other tasks. BHU Admission 2019 Application Form

The complete process of filling and submitting the BHU Admission application form 2019 will be done online. The application form can be filled through the entrance test portal www.bhuonline.in and its link can be availed from the official university website www.bhu.ac.in. In the application form, the candidates will have to provide basic personal and educational details and also upload scanned images of photograph and signature. After providing all the details into the application form, the candidates will have to submit it along with the prescribed application fee. A candidate can apply for more than one courses by submitting an additional fee of Rs. 200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PC).

Application fee:

The candidates can make the fee payment in both online and offline mode. In online mode, the payment can be done via credit card/debit card through the payment gateway available on the entrance test portal. Offline fee payment can be done by submitting Challan in any branch of the HDFC bank. The Challan can be printed from the portal itself and will contain all necessary details of the candidate, bank account details of BHU in which the entrance test fee will be deposited and the exact amount to be deposited.

BHU Admission Eligibility Criteria 2019

The eligibility criteria for BHU Admission 2019 will be different for different courses as given below:

For UET :

For general courses:

BA (Hons.) Arts: The candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam by securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

B.Com. (Hons.): Those who have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Commerce/Economics/Mathematics/Computer Science/Finance/Financial Markets Management/Vocational courses (related to Commerce) as one of the subjects and at least 50% marks in aggregate and have passed in the concerned subject are eligible.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Maths Group: A pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Statistics/Geology/Computer Science/Information Technology/Geography and a pass in these subjects individually is required.

For professional courses:

B.Ed. and B.Ed. Special Education: Candidate with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities/Commerce, or BE/B.Tech with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or equivalent is considered eligible for BHU Admission 2019.

LL.B. (Hons.): B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./Shastri or any other degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern recognized by the Bar Council of India securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is necessary.

B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts): The candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate are eligible.

For vocational courses:

Bachelor of Vocation: A candidate who has passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination securing at least 50% marks in aggregate is eligible.

For BHU PET:

For general courses:

M.A. in Linguistics: Graduation under at least 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks in the aggregate is required.

M.Com.: The candidate should have done B.Com (Hons.)/B.Com./B.Com.(Hons.)-FMM under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

M.Sc. in Biochemistry: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biochemistry/B.Sc. with Biochemistry as a subject in all the three years of graduation, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of science subjects is required to be considered for BHU Admission 2019.

For professional courses:

M.Ed. (Master of Education): The applicants should have done B.Ed./B.A. B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed./B.EI.Ed./D.EI.Ed. with at least 50% marks.

M.A. in Museology: The applicants should have done M.A. in History of Art/Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology/History/Sanskrit with at least 50% aggregate marks after graduation under at least 10+2+3 pattern.

LL.M.: The candidates with a 3-Year or 5-year LL.B. degree recognized by the Bar Council of India who have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for admissions.

Special Courses of Study:

Master of Tourism and Travel Management: The candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline under at least (10+2+3) pattern with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks can apply for admissions.

MBA: A Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required.

M.Sc. in Environmental Science: Those who have done B.Sc. (Hons)/B.Sc. with a minimum of 50% marks are considered to be eligible. The applicants must also have scored 50% in 10 and 10+2 examinations.

For vocational courses:

Master of Vocation (Retail & Logistics Management): Those with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline under at least 10+2+3 pattern with at least 50% aggregate marks or level 7 NSQF certificate or B.Voc. (Retail & Logistics Management) or equivalent examination with 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for admissions.

*M. F. A.: This paper will consist of 50 questions carrying 150 marks and the duration of paper will be 1 hour. There will also be practical exam of 2 hours duration carrying 150 marks.

MPA [Vocal/(Instrumental-Sitar, Flute, Violin, Tabla)/(Dance-Kathak/Bharatnatyam)]: This paper will consist of 100 questions carrying 300 marks and the duration of paper will be 2 hours. There will also be practical exam of 45 minutes carrying 600 marks.

BHU 2019 Syllabus

The syllabus for different courses for which entrance exam is conducted will be different and will basically cover the topics from the subjects they have studied at the qualifying exam level.

Admit Card

The candidates will be able to download their BHU 2019 admit card one week before the commencement of exam. SMS/Email regarding the release of admit card will also be sent to the applicants on their registered mail id and contact number. Those who are not able to download their admit card 3 days before the exam or those who find any kind of error in their admit card should contact the Office of the Controller of Examinations immediately. No candidate shall be allowed to appear in the test without a valid admit card.

BHU 2019 Counseling

The process of counseling for BHU Admission 2019 will be conducted in online mode. The candidates will be issued a call letter and they will be allowed to fill up an online Preference Entry Form available on the on the candidate’ segment of the Entrance Test Portal.

After making the selection of choice, the candidates will have to reach the counseling venue mentioned in the call letter. The candidates can change their earlier opted preferences by requesting the Counselling Centre/Venue Incharge. After the finalization of preference, the candidates will have to take a printout of the Preference Entry Form and submit it along with other required original documents at the Verification Desk.

BHU Admission Procedure 2019

The candidates who satisfy all the eligibility requirements and complete all the admission related formalities within time will be considered for enrolment. The whole process of the BHU Admission 2019 will be taken care of by the Admission Committees of the respective departments. A Provisional Admission Letter will be issued by the Counselling Centre/Venue Incharge. All the candidates who get their Provisional Admission Letter will have to submit the application fee within the specified time limit. Those who fail to do so, their provisional admission letter will be cancelled/withdrawn.
