BCECE Eligibility Criteria 2022- Educational Qualification, Reservation

The BCECE Eligibility criteria correspond to minimum requirements that a student must fulfill to appear in the exam. Every year Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board organizes BCECE for admissions into various professional courses of Pharmacy, Engineering and Agriculture provided by different colleges in the state. Before filling the application form, students must ensure that they satisfy the eligibility criteria as laid down by the exam conducting authority. Candidates who fail to satisfy the BCECE Eligibility Criteria 2022 will not be permitted to take the entrance exam. So candidates should not take it lightly. DomicileAge limit

For admission into Engineering and Pharmacy courses, there will be no minimum age limit prescribed for candidates. However, For Medical courses a candidate should be a minimum 17 years old as on 31st December 2022.

Educational Qualification

For Engineering/Technology Courses

Qualifying Examination: A candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent from a recognized Board.

Minimum Marks: A candidate must have secured minimum 45% marks (40% for candidates from reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.

Recommended Subjects: A candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology and Technical Vocational Subject as optional subjects.

For Pharmacy Course

Qualifying Examination: A candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent from a recognized Board.

Minimum Marks: A candidate must have scored at least 45% marks (40% for candidates from reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.

Recommended Subjects: A candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and one optional subject among Biology, or Mathematics.

For Medical Course

Qualifying Examination: A candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent from a recognized Board.

Minimum Marks: A candidate must pass in individual subjects in order to be eligible for admission.

Recommended Subjects: A candidate must pass the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Eligibility under Disabled-Quota for Medical Course

  • Candidates with only locomotory disability of lower limbs between 50% and 70% but otherwise medically fit and having upper limbs fully functional and normal are allowed the benefit of reservation.
  • Candidates with locomotors disability of lower limbs will require a minimum of 45% marks instead of 50% taken together in qualifying Examination and Entrance Examination for admission in MBBS course.
  • The visually handicapped and hearing disabled candidates will not be eligible for admission to MBBS / PG Medical and other medical courses under Disabled Quota.
  • Candidates having locomotory disability involving upper limbs are not eligible for admission to MBBS / PG Medical and other medical courses.

For Agriculture course

SyllabusNote:

  • Candidates appearing in Intermediate can also apply for the exam provided they must have cleared their intermediate during the admission.
  • All candidates will go through the medical examination, failing which their candidature for admission will be cancelled.
  • Candidates will need to pay a nominal fee for medical examination.
