BCECE 2020: Online Application Form(out), Eligibility, Dates(Postponed), Exam Pattern

BCECE 2020: In order to screen candidates for admissions into engineering, pharmacy, agriculture and other courses, BCECE 2020 will be conducted. The selected candidates will be granted admissions into the different institutes situated in the Bihar state. The candidates interested for admissions can submit their application from from 20th February 2020.

BCECE 2020 is notified to be conducted on 12th & 13th April 2020. Since an ample amount of time is left, the candidates can prepare for the exam in a well-planned manner. We are providing in this article some basic preparation tips to the candidates that can be helpful in exam preparation. Other exam related details such as syllabus, exam pattern, eligibility, etc is also provided in this post.

BCECE Eligibility Criteria 2020

The following basic criteria should be fulfilled by the BCECE 2020 aspirants:

BCECE Domicile CriteriaEducational qualification:

  • For engineering/technology: The candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject and scored at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in aggregate of these subjects.
  • For pharmacy: The candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology and scored at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in aggregate of these subjects.
  • For medical: The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2020.

For agricultural course:

BCECE Application Form 2020

BCECE 2020 application form can be obtained in online mode from the official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The candidates will have to register themselves first using their personal email id and password. Upon successful registration, an activation code will be sent that will be used to complete the application process. The candidates will have to provide their personal and educational details in the application form and will also have to upload photograph and signature. In order to complete the process of application, the candidate will to make payment of required application fee. The payment of application fee can be done via debit card/credit card/net banking or via NEFT Challan.

BCECE 2020 Exam Pattern

The following is the basic exam pattern of BCECE 2020:

  • Mode: Offline (Pen-and-Paper Based)
  • Type of Questions: Objective Type
  • Duration: 90 minutes will be given for each subject
  • Language: English and Hindi both
  • Marking Scheme: +4 marks for each correct response and -1 mark for each wrong answer

BCECE Syllabus 2020

The following syllabus is prescribed for the BCECE 2020:

  • Physics: Physical world and measurement, Laws of Motion, Kinematics, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid body, Work, Energy and Power, Properties of Bulk Matter, Heat and Thermodynamics, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices, Communication Systems, etc
  • Chemistry: Some basic concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Redox Reactions, s-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline earth metals), p-Block Elements, d- and f-Block Elements, Organic compounds containing Nitrogen, Polymers, Biomolecules, Chemistry in Everyday life, etc
  • Mathematics: Sets and Functions, Algebra, Co-Ordinate Geometry, Calculus, Mathematical Reasoning, Vectors and Three Dimensional Geometry, Linear Programming, etc
  • Biology: Diversity In Living World, Structural Organization In Animals And Plants, Plant Physiology, Human Physiology, Genetics And Evolution, Biology And Human Welfare, Ecology & Environment, etc
  • Agriculture: Introductory Agriculture and Agro meteorology, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fish Production, Cropping system, Soil and water management, Basic Horticulture, Extension education, etc

Preparation Strategy

The candidates who are preparing for BCECE 2020 can follow the certain basic strategies to excel in this exam:

  • The first step towards the preparation of exam can be making a time table. A time table helps in the division of time amongst the various subjects, giving proper time to each one of them.
  • Make your basics clear. Since there is no rush for the exams, you can give sufficient time to the topics that are difficult to understand. Do not try to skip any topic at this point of time.
  • Try to practice sample papers as you are appearing for the actual exam. This will not only help you in understanding the pattern, but by analyzing your result you will also come to know your strengths and weakness.
  • Last but not the least revision is also very important for your exam preparation. Revise the topics you have studied at a regular basis.

BCECE 2020 Admit Card

The BCECE admit card 2020 will be available for download in the month of April 2020 in online mode. The candidates will have to paste a photograph on the admit card same as the one in the application form. The applicants will also have to provide their signature in the admit card before submitting it to the invigilator. Any discrepancies in the admit card should be communicated to the Controller of Examination, BCECEB, at least 5 days before the examination. Those without a valid admit card will not be allowed to appear in the exam.

BCECE 2020 Result

Candidates will be able to check the BCECE 2020 result through online mode. The competent authority will announce the result after the evaluation of the answer sheets. The candidates will have to enter their registration number/roll number to see the result. Separate merit lists for different courses will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in the exam.

BCECE 2020 Counseling

The notification regarding the counselling will be released on the official website. The shortlisted candidates will be allowed to choose their course and institution according to their preferences and ranking. After the verification of documents and identity and passing the physical fitness test, the candidates will be granted final admission.
