Assam ANM entrance exam is conducted by the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Assam to shortlist the candidates for admission to 2-year Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery degree program. Enrolment to the shortlisted candidates is given in the different nursing colleges of the Assam state. Interested candidates who also meet the eligibility requirements can submit their application form and appear for the entrance exam. Assam ANM 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria need to be fulfilled by the candidates to be eligible for the Assam ANM 2024 entrance exam:

Nationality:

• The candidate should be a citizen of India.

Domicile:

• Applicant should be a permanent resident of state of Assam.

Age limit:

• ANM students have to be in the age group of 17 years to 27 years as on 1st January of the year of admission, i.e., 2024.

Academic qualification:

• For ANM courses minimum educational qualification for selection of candidates is HSSLC (10+2) or equivalent and or as per latest guidelines of Indian Nursing Council (INC).

Other criteria:

• Physically Handicapped can also apply.

Assam ANM 2024 Application Form

The Directorate of Welfare will publish newspaper advertisements, in at least two local dailies, inviting applications in prescribed format for admission in to the ANM degree course. Application forms, after filling, should be submitted to the respective SDWOs.

• To fill the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal and academic details.
• Photograph of the candidates should be affixed in the application form and they need to provide their signature into the form at specified places.
• Care should be taken while providing details in the application form as any incorrect information can make it liable for rejection.
• Once all the details are entered into the application form, the candidates can submit the same to the respective SDWOs.
• Applications must be sent so as to reach the SDWO before the prescribed time limit. Late applications will not be considered.
• A copy of the duly filled application form should also be kept safe by the candidates in case of future reference.
• Along with the application form, the candidates are also required to pay a prescribed amount of application fee.

Assam ANM 2024 Admit Card

• The admit card to appear in the ANM entrance exam will be released on the official website of Govt. of Assam.
• Admit card should be downloaded and a printout of the same should be taken by the candidates.
• This printout must be carried by the candidates at the time of reporting at the examination center on the exam day.
• No candidates will be allowed to enter the exam hall in case of absence of admit card and identity proof.
• Important details related to the exam like center, date, time, instructions to be followed, etc will be mentioned in the admit card.

Assam ANM Result 2024

• The authority will declare the result of the ANM entrance exam on the official website of the Directorate of Welfare, Govt. of Assam.
• Using details like roll number, date of birth, etc, the candidates will be able to check their result.
• Based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam, a merit list of the candidates will be drawn.
• Further process of counseling and admission of the qualified candidates will be carried out as per their names in the merit list.

Assam ANM 2024 Counseling

• Counseling of the candidates who clear the entrance exam will be conducted as per their names in the merit list.
• At the time of counseling, the candidates will be asked to provide their choice for college.
• Applicants reporting for counseling should carry with them all their documents in original and photocopy.
• Documents of the candidates will be verified and they will be allotted seats as per their choice and merit.
• The candidates then need to visit the allotted institute and complete the rest formalities of admission.
• On selection, the candidates shall execute a bond to serve the Govt. of Assam for a period of 5 years in the prescribed form.

1. Is it possible to make correction in the submitted application form?

Answer: No correction will be possible in the application form after its submission. Candidates should therefore take complete care while filling the application form.

2. Does the Directorate send the admit card to appear in ANM exam through post or courier?

Answer: No admit card is expected to be sent to the candidates through post courier, fax, email, etc and is to be released on the official website of the Directorate.

3. Can a candidate from outside Assam state apply for ANM admissions?

Answer: No. Only the candidates who belong to the state of Assam can apply for admissions to the ANM colleges of the state.

4. How can I get a refund on my application fee?

Answer: Once submitted, no refund will be granted to the candidates on the application fee under any condition. No request in this regard will be entertained.

5. What if any candidate fails to secure admission within the given time period?

Answer: Those who fail to complete the admission formality within the given time period will lose their candidature and no request will be entertained from such candidates.
