About the University
Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat is counted among the top Agriculture Universities of India. The university was founded in the year 1969 and it has reputation as first institution of its kind in the whole North-Eastern Region of the country. Presently the university has six Commodity Research Centres, five Colleges, six Regional Agricultural Research Stations (RARS) and nineteen Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVK) across the state.
