This is a state-level entrance exam conducted by State Board of Technical Education and Training, Amaravati. Candidates who wish to appear for this entrance exam can submit their online application form most probably from July 2023. Selected candidates will be offered admission to Government, Aided, Private, Un-aided Polytechnics and Second Shift polytechnics run in existing Private un-aided Engineering Colleges.

AP Polycet 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements described below can apply for AP Polycet 2023:
- Nationality: Applicants should be of Indian nationality.
- Domicile: The candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh.
- Age limit: There is no age restriction for appearing in the entrance exam.
- Qualification: A pass in class 10th or equivalent exam from a recognized board with Mathematics as a subject and at least 35% marks in aggregate is required.
- Others: For admission into the Hotel Management and Catering Technology, and D.Pharmacy, the entry qualification is 10 + 2. These candidates need not appear for the entrance exam.
AP Polycet 2023 Application Form
AP Polytechnic 2023 application form will be released online on the official website polycetap.nic.in or sbtetap.gov.in or aponline.gov.in. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above can proceed with the filling of application form.
- In the application form, the candidates will be asked to provide details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, address, category, etc.
- The candidates can also provide their willingness to appear the examination in Urdu medium, choice for exam center and sign the declaration with regard to physical fitness.
- After providing all the details correctly into the application form, the candidates should take its printout and affix their photograph on it.
- This copy of the application form, signed by the parent/ guardian of the candidates, should be submitted to the computer operator at the nearest help center.
- A copy of the application form should also be retained by the candidates as it can be required at the time of counseling and admission.

AP Polycet 2023 Admit Card
- AP polycet dmit card to appear in the entrance exam will be released on the official website www.appolycet.nic.in.
- Alternatively, those having problem in downloading the admit card can also approach the help line center.
- Admit card will contain the important details related to candidates and the examination.
- Candidates should thoroughly check the details and if any error is found, they should get it corrected by visiting the helpline center.
- Only the candidates with a valid and correct admit card will be allowed to enter the exam hall and appear for the exam.
AP Polycet 2023 Result
- The candidates will be able to check their result and download their rank card from the official website www.polycetap.nic.in or www.sbtetap.gov.in.
- Rank cards will also be dispatched within a week from the date of declaration of results.
- Ranking of the candidates will be done on the basis of marks obtained by them in the entrance exam.
- Candidates of SC/ ST category shall be assigned ranking irrespective of the marks in the entrance test. Such candidates with even marks less than the cut-off can compete for their category of seats.
- A merit list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of their marks and counseling will be conducted accordingly.
AP Polycet 2023 Counselling
- Detailed notification regarding the counseling round will be published in daily newspapers and official website www.appolycet.nic.in.
- Candidates will be allowed to provide their choice for course and college at the time of counseling. Documents of the candidates will also be verified at the time of counseling.
- On the basis of these choices and the rank of the candidates, seats will be allotted to them and allotment letter will be generated.
- Candidates shall report at the allotted college along with the allotment order and complete the formalities of admission.
Important Documents
Candidates who have been called for counseling have to bring the following certificates in original along with one set of attested copies:
- Mark sheet of SSC or equivalent exam
- Community Certificate from Revenue Authorities, for BC, SC and ST candidates
- Date of birth certificate
- Admit card and rank card of Polycet
- Certificate of study for the entire period of education from Class IV to X.
- In respect of candidates who appeared for the qualifying exam privately, without schooling, a Certificate of Residence for 7 years immediately preceding the date of commencement of relevant qualifying examination from an Officer of Revenue Department
- In case of candidates who are not local to any one of the University area, a Certificate from the Revenue for a total period 10 years of residence, excluding the period of study outside the State, or in case of parent, excluding the period of employment outside the State
- In case of candidates who are not Local to any one of the University areas, a certificate from the employer with whom the parents or the spouse of the candidate are employed
- Medical Certificate issued by State/ District Medical Board for PWD candidates
