AP LAWCET 2019: Important Dates, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria

The Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur will be conducting the state-level AP LAWCET 2019 on behalf of APSCHE, Hyderabad. The Andhra Pradesh law common entrance exam (AP LAWCET) will help candidates enroll in the 3-year and 5-year law courses. The admissions will be granted in the state law universities of Andhra Pradesh and in the colleges affiliated to them. The details of the entrance test will be uploaded on the official website. Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must fulfill certain criteria before they can fill the application form. Only candidates of Indian nationality are eligible to apply for the AP LAWCET 2019. The following are the criteria for the 3-year and 5-year programme:

Nationality & Domicile:

Indian nationals who satisfy Local/ non-local status requirement as prescribed in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 (the changes made thereto from time to time) are eligible to apply.

For 3-year LLB course:

The applicant must have a graduate degree in 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent, with 45% aggregate marks, from a recognized university. The maximum age limit for this course is 30 years, for OC candidates and 35 years for SC/ST candidates.

For 5-year LLB course:

It is necessary that the candidate has passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination, with at least 45% marks, from a recognized board. The age limit for OC candidates is 20 years and for SC/ST candidates, it is 22 years.

Note: There is a relaxation of 5% marks in qualifying exam for SC/ST candidates and 3% for the OBC candidates.

AP LAWCET Application form 2019: How to apply?

The AP LAWCET 2019 application form will be available online. Most likely, the authority will release the application form in the month of March 2019. The candidates will have to fill the important details in the application form, such as personal information and qualification details. Moreover, the scanned image of Photograph and signature will also be uploaded as per the specification. The duly filled form will be submitted with an application fee of Rs 700/-. The fee payment can be done via debit/credit card/net banking or AP online centers.

Exam Pattern

The exam will be conducted online and the paper will be in English and Telugu. The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes and 120 questions will be asked. Each question will carry 1 mark and there will be no negative marking.

For 3-year LLB course:

For 5-year course, the questions will be asked from Intermediate level.

Admit Card

Those who have submitted their application form correctly and meet the required eligibility criteria will be able to download the admit card from the official website. The details of the exam like time and venue will be mentioned on the admit card. The hall ticket/admit card is an important document which needs to be carried at the examination center on the exam day.

Examination center

The exam will be held in any of the following cities:

Anantapuramu, Bhimavaram, Chittoor, Guntur, Kadapa, Kakinada, Kurnool, Nandyal, Nellore, Ongole, Rajamahendravaram, Srikakulam, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram


The result of the AP LAWCET 2019 will be uploaded on the official website, a few weeks after the examination. On the basis of marks obtained, a rank list of the candidates will also be provided, which can be downloaded from the website. On the basis of their rank, the candidates will be called for counseling.

AP LAWCET Counseling 2019

The shortlisted candidates will have to participate in the counselling as per the schedule date and time. The process of AP LAWCET Counselling will be organized in the month of June 2019 tentatively. A counseling fee will be submitted by the candidates, after which they can start choice filling and locking. On the basis of the marks and availability of seats, the candidates will be allotted their seat.
