A common entrance exam, known as AP EAMCET 2020, will be conducted to select the candidates for admission into engineering, agriculture, pharmacy, and other courses. The entrance test will be conducted in online mode and the aspiring candidates can submit the application form for the test also in online mode. The application form will be hopefully made available from 26th February 2020. The exam is proposed to be held on 20,21,22,23 & 24 April 2020.

This article provides certain preparation strategies and recommended books to the candidates that can help them in getting ready for the exam. In addition to this, the other details related to the AP EAMCET 2020, such as eligibility criteria, application form, exam pattern, syllabus, etc is also provided here.

Latest: AP EAMCET 2020 official notification will be released on 22nd February 2020. It is being notified that application process will commence from 26th February 2020 onwards.

AP EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2020

The candidates who wish to appear for AP EAMCET 2020 should fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria:

Nationality:

Candidates of Indian Nationality, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are eligible. The applying candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.

Age and Qualification:

For Engineering, B.Tech (Dairy), B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering), B.Tech (Food Science and Technology), and B.Sc (Agriculture Engineering) courses:

  • The candidates who have passed (or appearing) their 10+ 2 or equivalent exam with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology can apply.
  • Those who have passed (or appearing) a recognized Diploma examination in Engineering can apply too.
  • For Engineering & Pharmacy courses, candidates should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.
  • For B.Tech (Dairy Technology/ Ag. Engineering)/ FS & T) and B.Sc. (Agr. Engg), the candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. The upper age limit is 22 years (25 years for SC/ ST candidates).

For B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Sc. (Hort) and B.F.Sc. courses:

  • Those applicants who have passed (or appearing) their 10+ 2 or equivalent exam with the related subjects can apply for the AP EAMCET 2020 exam.
  • The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. The upper age limit is 22 years (25 years for SC/ ST candidates).

For B.Pharm course:

  • The candidates should have passed (or appearing) their 10+ 2 or equivalent exam with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
  • The candidates should have completed 16 years of age as on the day of commencement of admission.

For Pharm-D course:

  • The candidates who have passed (or appearing) their 10+ 2 or equivalent exam with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects are eligible.
  • The applicants who have passed (or appearing) a recognized Diploma examination in Pharmacy are eligible too.
  • A minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) should be obtained in the aggregate of specified subjects.
  • The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

AP EAMCET 2020 Application Form

The application form for AP EAMCET 2020 exam will be made available on the website www.sche.ap.gov.in/eamcet. First of all, the candidates will have to submit an application fee of Rs. 500/- through AP ONLINE/ TS ONLINE or through Debit card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. In the payment form, the candidates will have to enter their name, date of birth, mobile number, email id, etc. After this, the candidates can proceed towards filling their application form. In the application form, the candidates will have to provide the rest personal details, academic details, and upload photograph and signature. After the submission of the application form, an application number will be generated which must be kept safe for further correspondence.

AP EAMCET 2020 Exam Pattern

The AP EAMCET 2020 will be conducted as a computer-based test. The test will be conducted in two sessions every day and the duration of the test will be 3 hours. 160 questions will be asked in the paper, each carrying 1 mark and there will be no negative marking. The question paper will be in English and Telugu. However, if a candidate wants the question paper in Urdu, he/she will have to choose the exam center at Kurnool only.

Syllabus

The following syllabus is recommended for AP EAMCET 2020:

  • Mathematics: Algebra, Trigonometry, Vector Algebra, Measures of Dispersion and Probability, Coordinate Geometry, and Calculus.
  • Physics: Units And Measurements, Motion In A Straight Line, Motion In A Plane, Laws Of Motion, Wave Optics, Gravitation, Mechanical Properties Of Fluids, Kinetic Theory, etc.
  • Chemistry: Atomic Structure, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Thermodynamics, Environmental Chemistry, Solid State, Surface Chemistry, General Principles Of Metallurgy, etc.
  • Botany: Diversity in the Living World, Structural Organization in Plants, Reproduction in Plants, Plant Systematic, Internal Organization of Plants, etc.
  • Zoology: Diversity of Living World, Structural Organization in Animals, Biology & Human Welfare, Human Anatomy and Physiology, etc.

Preparation Strategy

A large number of candidates apply for the AP EAMCET 2020 exam. In such case, competition becomes tough and therefore you need to prepare well for the exam. A right preparation strategy for the exam can surely help the candidates in not just clearing the exam, but also in securing good marks and get better ranking. Here are given certain very basic exam tips that you can follow while preparing for AP EAMCET:

  • First of all, make a time table, in such a manner that proper time is given to all the subjects. While making a time table, focus on the subject that you are weak in, giving more time to it. Also, just making a time table is not enough, it is necessary that you strictly follow it.
  • It is also important to know the syllabus while preparing for an exam. Know your syllabus and then collect the study material accordingly.
  • While you are studying, try to make notes of the important topics. This saves you from opening your books every time you need to study those topics. Also, notes are proved to be very helpful while revision.
  • Practice the sample papers and mock tests. This can help you in analyzing the topics that you are weak in and that need more focus. You can also revise your time table accordingly, if you feel the need to do so.

Admit Card

The successfully registered candidates will be able to download their AP EAMCET 2020 admit card from the website www.sche.ap.gov.in/eamcet. The candidates should check the details on their admit card/ hall ticket and any discrepancy should be bought to the notice of the Convener. The candidates must carry the admit card, filled in online application form, a good ball point pen and attested copy of caste certificate (if applicable) along with them to the exam center.

Result

The result of AP EAMCET 2020 exam will be announced in online mode on the website www.sche.ap.gov.in/eamcet. Since, the entrance test will be held in different slots, the result will be declared after the normalization of the obtained marks. The ranking of the candidates will be done on the basis of the EAMCET normalized marks (75% weightage) and 10+2 marks (25% weightage) in the order of merit.

Counseling

The candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be invited to take part in the counseling process. During the counseling, the applicants will be able to select the institute and the course as per their choice and ranking. The details of the counseling process and the participating institutes will be made available on the official website.
