Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Coimbatore will release the admission notification for M.Sc Nursing program with specialties Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing, Child Health Nursing and Mental Health Nursing) with an annual intake of 36 students. Medical-Surgical Nursing is offered in four sub-specialities such as Cardiovascular & Thoracic Nursing, Oncology Nursing, Neurosciences Nursing and Nephro-Urology Nursing. Clinical experiences in all the specialities are provided in the parent hospital, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre. Affiliation is taken from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore for clinical experience in Mental Health Nursing.. M.Sc. Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing is a Two-Year Postgraduate academic programme offered in different specialities. The aim of the programme is to prepare post graduates to assume responsibilities as nurse specialists, consultants, educators, administrators and researchers in a wide variety of professional settings. The programme is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, Kerala Nurses’ and Midwives’ Council and approved by Govt. of Kerala.
