Applications are invited by Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) for admissions in various Medical degree programmes. AGMC is associated to the Tripura University and it is approved by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MCI (Medical Council of India).

Admissions will be offered through NEET exam. 

The college Course Details:

Agartala Government Medical College provides admission to MBBS programme under different streams. The duration of this programme is four-and-half years with a medical training period of one year. Each year, the college starts its admission on the mid of July and classes begins from the first or second week of August. The first MBBS course in the college includes subject like physiology, biochemistry, and anatomy, second MBBS includes microbiology, forensic medicine, pathology and pharmacology subjects, while the third semester covers surgery, gynecology & pediatrics, community & ENT medicine, general medicine, and ophthalmology.

Required Eligibility requirement:

Minimum age limit: Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS programme offered by AGMC (Agartala Government Medical College) should have competed their 17 years of age on the 31st December of the examination year.

Educational qualification: Applicants should have completed their higher secondary or the Indian School certificate examination or equivalent to 12^th with chemistry, biology, physics and English as major subjects. They should have obtained minimum 50% of marks in the qualifying examination in chemistry, physics, and biology subjects (40% for candidates belonging to reserve category).

Admission Process:

Candidates belonging to the state of Tripura; seeking admissions under AGMC will have to go through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) organized by the Board of Joint Entrance Examination of Tripura and admission will be made on the basis of student merit list arranged by the counseling committee of joint entrance exam (JEE) constituted by the Government of Tripura.

Allotment of seats:

Total seats offered by Agartala Government Medical College for the MBBS course is 100 in which 75 seats are reserved for applicants from state of Tripura, for all-India quota 15 seats and left over 10 seats are reserved  by the Government of Tripura as a sign for applicants belonging to North-Eastern states like Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Nagaland.
