Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University is one of the Biggest Agriculture Universities of the Asia. This Public Funded Agriculture University was initially a Satellite Campus of the Punjab Agriculture University. After the Separation of the Haryana, the University was declared as the Autonomous Institution under the Haryana and Punjab Agriculture University Act.

The Management of the University is controlled by the Haryana Government. The Governor of Haryana state is the Chancellor of the University and the Honorary Chairman of the Board of Management. The Official members of the University are the secretaries of Agriculture, Finance and Community Development of the Government of Haryana.

The Main Campus of the University is situated at Hisar at the distance of on National Highway No. 10 and is 2 Km from the railway station and 3 Km from the Bus Stand. The Campus of the University is spread over an area of 7219 acres at hisar and 1426 acres at outstations.
