JEE Main 2017 Counselling 15TH JUNE 2017 Schedule Released

JEE Main 2017 (Joint Entrance Exam Main), organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education, is the first stage exam for admission to Engineering, Architecture and allied courses offered by a majority of private, government and centrally funded colleges including the IITs and NITs. Candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2017 exam are eligible to appear in second stage of the test which is JEE Advanced for admission to engineering program (B.Tech) offered by IITs.

JEE Main 2017 exam has been over now and result is going be announced on 27th April 2017. We’ll provide the direct link to access the result after announcement of its official notification.

Candidates can download their respective admit card from 14th March, 2017. It will be possible to download the admit card from the official website only as there will be no physical dispatch. Soon, the authority releases admit card of candidates officially, we’ll update the direct link over here as well.

JEE Main 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants need to verify their eligibility by going through the information related to JEE Main 2017 Eligibility Criteria furnished below:

   1.Date of Birth

Interested aspirants whose DOB ( Date of Birth) falls on or after October 01, 1992 can apply for JEE Main for the upcoming year 2017. Candidates belonging to PwD (Persons with Disabilities), SC (Scheduled Caste) and ST (Scheduled Tribe) category will be given relaxation in age by 5 years; such categories of candidates who have born on or after October 01, 1987 are also eligible to apply.

*please keep in mind, your date of birth will be assumed as it is mentioned in Secondary Education Board/University certificate.

 2. Educational Qualification

Candidates should have cleared class 12th examination or its equivalent with five subjects either in the year 2015 or 2016. Candidates those are appearing in class 12th or its equivalent exam in the year 2017 can also apply.

****candidates who have appeared in the class 12th or its equivalent exam in the year 2014, didn’t pass, but cleared the exam in 2015 are not permitted to apply.***

Number of Attempts

The number of attempts for appearing in JEE Main is limited to three only.

JEE Main Exam Pattern 2017

  • There will be two papers in the exam. Paper 1 will be conducted for candidates looking for admission to B.E/B.Tech program whereas; paper 2 will be organized for admission to B.Arch/B.Planning.
  • Paper 1 will be conducted in online as well as offline mode whereas; paper 2 will be conducted only in offline mode.
  • Paper 1 will have only objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics whereas, there will be three parts in the paper 2. The part 1 will contain questions from Mathematics, part 2 will have objective type questions on Aptitude skill and part 3 will be a drawing test.
  • ¼ marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Counseling & Seat Allotment Process 

The counseling procedure for JEE Main will be organized by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). The decision has been made in the year 2015 by Joint Admission Board (JAB) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) regarding conduction of joint counseling for admission to IITs, NITs, ISM Dhanbad, IIITs and GFTIs by JoSSA.
