JEE Advanced Syllabus: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics

JEE Advanced Syllabus comprises of important topics to be studied by the candidates in order to crack the exam. The syllabus provides the candidates an insight into the key areas where they need to focus more on. Physical Chemistry: Nuclear Chemistry, Surface Chemistry, Basic concepts, Energetics, Solutions, Chemical Bonding, States of Matter, Electrochemistry, Chemical Equilibrium, Solid State, Atomic Structure, Chemical Kinetics.

Inorganic Chemistry: Extractive Metallurgy, Properties of Non-metals, Ores, Minerals, Transition Elements, Qualitative Analysis, Preparation of Non-metals, Preparation of Compounds, Properties of Compounds.

Organic Chemistry: Properties, Reactions, and Preparation of Alkenes, Basic Concepts, Properties, Reactions, and Preparation of Alkynes,  Phenols, Reactions of Benzene, Carbohydrate, Haloarenes, Practical Organic Chemistry, Amino acids and Peptides, Alcohols, Ethers, Aldehydes and Ketones, Alkyl halides, Carboxylic acids, Properties and uses of polymers.

Physics

Laws of motion, Kinematics, Systems of particles, Units and Dimensions, Experimental Analysis, Gravitation, Harmonic motions, Thermal Physics, Inertia, Momentum, Waves, The pressure in a fluid, Magnetic Fields, Electric Fields, Electromagnetic Induction, Electric current, Capacitance, Reflection, Refraction, Wave nature of light, Atoms and Nuclei.

Mathematics

Quadratic Equations, Complex Numbers, Logarithms, Sequence and Series, Probability, Matrices and Determinants, Binomial Theorem, Permutation and Combination, Trigonometric and Inverse Trigonometric Functions, Properties of Vectors, Functions Derivatives, Limits, Continuity, Differential Equations, Integration and its application, Three Dimensional Geometry, Two Dimensional Geometry etc.

Architecture

Freehand drawing, Geometrical drawing, 3D perception, Imagination, and aesthetic sensitivity, and Architectural awareness

JEE Advanced Exam Pattern

Candidates should also be familiar with the exam pattern of the JEE Advanced as it will help them in understanding the basic structure in which the exam will be organized. The exam pattern is as follows-
