BHU UET Exam Pattern: Banaras Hindu University conducts the separate test (BHU UET) for admission to various undergraduate courses, however, there are some common test for a list of programs. Admission to courses for which a common entrance test is organized will be made as per the merit of candidates, their eligibility and choice of preferences they had mentioned at the time of counselling. Candidates who are looking to be considered for more than one course they need to appear in separate entrance test for each course and they also need to apply for each course separately.

  • B.Ed./B.Ed. – Special Education
  • B.Sc. (Ag.)/ B.Sc. (Ag.)- RGSC
  • B.Voc. Programmes (Food Processing & Management) / B.Voc. Courses (Medical Lab Technology) (under Vocational courses at DDU Kaushal Kendra, RGSC, South Campus)
  • B.Voc. Courses (Retail Management)/ B.Voc. Courses (Logistics)/ B.Voc. Courses (Hospitality & Tourism (under Vocational courses at DDU Kaushal Kendra, RGSC, South Campus)

BHU UET Exam Pattern for B. A. (Hons.) Arts & B.A. (Hons.) Social Sciences

  • There will be 150 multiple-choice questions containing 450 marks.
  • Candidates will get 120 minutes to solve the paper.
  • The paper also have two sets of multiple choice questions on Language comprehension and it will be in Hindi as well as English language. Candidates are required to attempt either English language set or Hindi language set.
  • For B.A. (Hons.) Arts, questions will be asked from General Mental Ability, General Awareness, Numerical Ability, Environment & its Pollution, Basic knowledge of Plants & Animals, Human Body, Common Diseases, Human Health, Population Explosion, Solar System, Production of Food & Raw Materials, Climate & Weather, History, Natural Resources of Industry, Indian cultural heritage with special attention on major currents in Indian Thoughts, art and literature.
  • For B.A. (Hons.) Social Sciences, questions will be asked from General Mental Ability, General Awareness, Numerical Ability, Comprehension and subject awareness of the subjects contains  basic awareness of Environment and its Pollution, Plants and Animals, Human Body, Common Diseases, Human Health, Population Explosion, Solar System, Production of Food and Raw Materials, Climate and Weather, Elementary knowledge of History, Natural Resources & Industry Political Science, Psychology, Social Studies and Economics.

BHU UET Exam Pattern of B. Com. (Hons.)/B. Com. (Hons.)-Financial Markets Management

  • Talking about the total number of questions will be 150 and all questions will be MCQ type.
  • Candidates will get 150 minutes in order to solve those questions.
  • Total marks will be 450.
  • There will be two sets of multiple choice questions on Language comprehension in Hindi as well as English. Candidates are required to attempt either Hindi language set or English language set, not the both.
  • There will five sections in the paper: 50 questions will be asked from Accounting and Business Organisation; 50 from Mathematics; 50 from Economics and Money Banking; 50 from General Knowledge and Current Affairs and rest 50 from Language – English or Hindi.

BHU UET Exam Pattern of B. Sc. (Hons.): (Maths group)

  • Total number of questions will be 150 containing 450 marks.
  • Candidates will get 150 minutes to solve those questions.
  • There will be three sections in the exam namely Physics, Mathematics and chemistry and each one will contain 50 questions.

BHU UET Exam Pattern of B. Sc. (Hons.): (Bio group)

  • There will be 150 questions containing 450 marks.
  • Candidates will get 150 minutes to solve those questions.
  • There will be three sections in the exam namely Physics, Biology and chemistry and each one will contain 50 questions.

BHU UET Exam Pattern of Shastri (Hons.)

  • There will be 100 questions containing 300 marks and candidates will get 90 minutes to solve those questions.
  • The test will be conducted to check the awareness of students in Hindi and Sanskrit Languages of 10+2/ Madhyama or its equivalent examination standard.

BHU UET Exam Pattern of B. Sc. (Ag.)/B. Sc. (Ag.)-RGSC

  • There will be 200 MCQ type questions of 300 marks and candidates will be given 120 minutes to solve the paper.
  • There will five sections in the exam: 50 questions will be Agriculture; 50 from Botany & Zoology; 50 from Physics & Mathematics; 25 from Chemistry and rest 25 from Mental Ability.
  • Candidates are required to answer 100 questions. Among all the sections, section I and II are compulsory where from III, IV and V, candidates can choose one of them.

BHU UET Exam Pattern of B. Ed./B. Ed. -Special Education

  • There will be 100 MCQ type question containing 300 marks. Candidates will get 150 minutes to solve the paper.
  • The questions will be divided into two major parts; 30 MCQs will be based on reasoning, teaching aptitude, current educational scenario.
  • There will be four subjects groups involved in the paper namely, Science, Languages Mathematics and Social Sciences and Humanities and 70 questions will be from each group. Candidates are required to attempt one of the groups as per their eligibility.

BHU UET Exam Pattern of LL. B. (Hons.)

  • The total number of questions will be 150 of 450 marks. All questions will be MCQ type.
  • Candidates will get 120 minutes to solve the paper.
  • Questions will be included from Common Legal Knowledge, General Awareness, and Current Affairs, Aptitude, and Mental Ability.
  • There will be also two sets of MCQ type questions on Language comprehension available in English as well as Hindi. Candidates need to attempt one of the language sets.

BHU UET Exam Pattern of B.A. LL. B. (Hons.)

  • Total number of questions will be 150 of 450 marks. All questions will be MCQ type.
  • Candidates will get 120 minutes to solve the paper.
  • Questions will be asked from Mental Ability, General Awareness and Current Affairs and Legal Aptitude.
  • Multiple choice questions on English comprehension will be also included in the question paper.

BHU UET Exam Pattern of B. P. Ed. (Bachelor of Physical Education)

  • There will be 100 questions of 300 marks and candidates will get 90 minutes to solve the questions.
  • Questions will be involved from Aptitude Test, General Studies, Current Affairs and General Knowledge regarding Sports.
  • There will be a Physical Fitness test of 300 marks which will be organized by External Examiners. They will be appointed by Controller of Examinations, at Department of Physical Education, BHU Varanasi.

BHU UET Exam Pattern of B. F. A

  • For admission to BFA course candidates will have to appear for a theory paper and two practical papers.
  • There will be 50 multiple choice questions of 150 marks involved in the theory paper and candidates will get 60 minutes to solve those questions.

Exam Pattern of BPA [Vocal/(Instrumental Music [North Indian Classical] -Sitar, Violin, Flute, Tabla)/ (Indian Classical Dance Kathak/Bharatnatyam)]

  • There will be 100 MCQ type questions and candidates will be provided 120 minutes to solve the paper.
  • There will be one practical exam gets conducted of 600 marks and 45 minutes duration.
